Upfor returns to UNTITLED, Art in Miami to present new and recent works by artists Ronny Quevedo and Esperanza Cortés. Respectively born in Ecuador and Colombia, and living in New York, both artists are part of a diaspora that reflects on pre-colonial through contemporary Latin American history. The artists seamlessly weave personal with political history, helping to recapture stories of colonization and immigration that have been told largely through the eyes of dominant culture, if at all.
